Williamstown Beach Precinct
The Williamstown Beach Precinct is an area of coastal environmental significance, cultural importance and recreational experience within the western region of Melbourne. The development of a Parks and Foreshore Renewal Plan considers the current and future expected uses across the area.
We believe that legible connections; visual and physical, combined with adaptive spaces will offer opportunity for crossover and encourage activities to develop and grow with the community, visitors, existing and future uses. The precinct project celebrates the scenic values of the area and builds upon the foreshore experiences that so many have come to love.
As we look ahead, we believe that climate positive design, sustainability and biodiversity values instilled within the updated precinct plan, will support and celebrate a resilient future open space.
Working in close collaboration with Hobsons Bay City Council (HBCC) team members, the project delivers on the shared outcomes for the precinct and empowers Council and key stakeholders with a pathway forward for implementation of the Precinct Plan; its future design and development to accommodate the needs of all and the protection and resilience of the coastal landscape. The intention is to ensure the best outcomes for a successful precinct, with guidance for future planning and projects that complement this much-loved place.
