Keeley Park

City of Kingston, Clayton South, 2017

In early 2017 Pollen was asked by the City of Kingston to document a regional playground and park upgrade at Keely Park in Clayton South. The project includes multiple play structures, nature play elements, exercise and fitness equipment areas, picnic and BBQ facilities, new pedestrian path networks and water-sensitive planting beds

The play space is inspired by the local migrant community and includes a number of surfboards, boats, and rockers, dotted amongst waves of blue rubber. The play space provides for formal picnic areas as well as informal log steppers and seats set amongst dry creek-bed and sand play zones.

The final playspace caters for a range of ages and park users, adding to this already well-used recreational precinct.
